* '''Quake.''' Download and install [http://www.megateamfortress.com/files/wiki/files/quake-shareware-setup-beta099a.exe Quake Shareware], or obtain [http://store.steampowered.com/app/2310/QUAKE/ Quake] from Steam.
* '''TeamFortress Mod.''' Download and unzip [http://www.megateamfortress.com/files/wiki/files/MegaTFUnited.zip MegaTF] into your Quake folder.
* '''Modern Client.''' Download and unzip [http://www.megateamfortress.com/files/wiki/files/ezquake.zip ezQuake] into your Quake folder. (ezQuake replaces the old QWCL.exe as your Quake Client. Other modern QuakeWorld [[Clients]] exist, which you may use at your discretion, but we highly recommend ezQuake.)
==Team Colored Cross-hair==
This script will change your cross-hair color to whatever color team you're on. Put the following in your config.cfg.
<nowiki>
if $team = "Blue" then crosshaircolor 0 255 255
if $team = "blue" then crosshaircolor 0 255 255
if $team = "red" then crosshaircolor 255 0 0
if $team = "gren" then crosshaircolor 0 255 0
if $team = "yell" then crosshaircolor 255 255 0
</nowiki>

==Map-Specific Skybox Loader==
You can create a config for each map, and add a skybox loading command to each map config -- but having them all consolidated into one list makes things more manageable. Just add "exec skyboxes" to the top of each individual class config (ie, soldier.cfg, demoman.cfg, etc) and this will do the rest:

<nowiki>
// Simple Automatic SkyBox loader, by Aphasia
// add as many customized map-skybox combos as you like below
// note that setting it to 'none' will unload the skybox, forcing ezq to use original map sky textures as built

// default skybox - set to none in order to default to map's built-in sky textures when one is not specified below
set newskybox "none"

// if you want ezquake to alwayse use a certain skybox when not otherwise specified, ignoring all maps'
// built-in sky textures, uncomment the following line and specify the skybox you want as default:
// set newskybox "null_plainsky512"

// Set all of your map-specific skyboxes here, comment out or delete ones you do not line, add as necessary:
if $mapname == "2fort4" then set newskybox "null_plainsky512"
CYBERBALL: Suit up or shut up.
||
'''Player Synopsis:''' A fast-paced, close-quarters MegaTF interpretation of the game CyberBall.
<br /><br />
'''Player Review:'''
|}

==BASIS==
This game is based on the original CyberBall games for Arcade, Sega Genesis, and others, but adapted for QuakeWorld.

Because of the small size of the arena, and the close-quarters fighting, team size has been limited to no more than 4 players per side, and only to:

SNIPER - SOLDIER - DEMOMAN - HWGUY - ENGINEER

Pick your team lineup wisely, because everyone is going to end up playing offense and defense at some point.

Anyone else present can be a new class of "PARTICIPATORY SPECTATOR," a term I'm officially coining right now, but teams are otherwise 4on4 unless modified by a server admin.

==GAMEPLAY==
The idea is simple, but sometimes lost to those not reading directions. Take the ball from the center of the map to the opposing team's goal. Think American Football. You score 5 frags for your team every time you do, and one point is awarded to your team score.

DROPFLAG and THROWFLAG commands are available to help you hand-off the ball to your teammates.

IMPORTANT: Do not take your time getting the ball to the goal. As soon as the ball is disturbed from the center, it begins heating up going from:

COOL -> WARM -> HOT -> CRITICAL

When the ball reaches critical mass it EXPLODES killing everyone on the play field.

You can disarm the ball by scoring, or by stepping on a DEFUSE PAD. There are four pads on each side of the map, which can only be used ONCE EACH per play. They will also give you a little bit of health to keep you going. If the other team drops the ball near your goal, it will be important to DEFUSE IT quickly so you have time to run it to the other side of the map.

A location file has been added to the package which goes in your fortress/loc/ folder to facilitate teamplay shouts.

==MOVEMENT==
This isn't your typical map - hopping and rocketing around the map is much harder than in most. Playing like deathmatch or standard CTF isn't going to work out well. Work as a TEAM, and communicate to WIN.

I suggest having keys bound for shouting "OVER HERE" and "GO" etc, as well as THROWFLAG so you can handoff if you want to.

==IMPORTANT NOTE==
At the time of this map's release, EZQuake did not yet recognize the scoring system this map uses! Included is a FRAGFILE.DAT that should go into your fortress/ directory. This will ensure EZQuake properly shows not just FRAGS/KILLS/DEATHS but ALSO your TOUCHES and CAPTURES. It isn't required, but it is nice.

==THANKS==
Thanks as always to id, for Quake, The TFS crew, for Team Fortress, Ambush, for MegaTF, and DyerMaker for everything you contributed to MegaTF! All the Clan Moose crew who I will never forget!

'''From the author:'''

This map was made as a lark to be a fun "intermission" between real maps. The essential premise is an oversized Skee-Ball machine, where the blue team play as all snipers and hang out in the arcade, while the red team play AS THE SKEE-BALLS and roll themselves down the length of the map, popping up into the air before falling through various numbered holes for points.

The Arcade comes complete with tacky carpeting, retro game machines, and a very progressive gender-neutral bathroom - pretty sure that's a first for Quake. Bathrooms.
I made Mushroom Kingdoms (aka world1-1) as a fun give-back to the community for helping me get back into QWTF, and debuted it at "Frag Friday" on the TastySpleen MegaTF Classics server (74.86.171.201:27502). It's pretty much exactly what it looks like - a nostalgia-laden, overly bright fragfest complete with powerup mushrooms, gold coins, fireflowers, super stars, warp pipes and lava pits plus all the accompanying sound effects you'll remember from play Super Mario Bros.

===WELCOME, NEWCOMERS!===
Tired of playing ridiculous, oversized Christmas maps? Bored with Haloween? SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR BUDDIES WHINING AND COMPLAINING?

This is Festivus, a holiday map for the rest of us.

There is no flag. Just a simple aluminum pole. (It has a very high strength-to-weight ratio.)

There are no control points, No cap points. No buttons, no doors, no lifts, NOTHING.

Festivus begins with the airing of grievances. Let the other participants know EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK OF THEM.

After the airing of grievances comes the feats of strength. There is no variety here, no class choices. You get SOLIDIER, and THATS IT.

Normally, the Festivus celebration ends when the host is subdued - here, it is over when the frag or time limit has been reached. That is all.

====HAPPY FESTIVUS, EVERYONE!====
Celebrate it every December 23, or whenever you feel the need.

'''''Recently unearthed from the snow and ice in Antarctica your team has uncovered what appears to be an impossibility - a South-American style pyramid! Who built it? Why is it here? Before you can find out, you learn that a second team, hot on your heels, has uncovered a second strange pyramid nearby. The race is on to discover the secrets - but what's inside? What are you willing to do to claim this discovery for your side? Will you fight for it? Will you fight to the DEATH for it?'''''

If you dare - enter the Temple of Pain! The map that tries to KILL YOU back!

This is a brand-new "keep away" style map that can be played by large or small groups - even though the area inside is large, it's easily traversed. This was done specifically so that in the event of 1-on-1 style dueling, when a player dies there is adequate time and space to randomize the circumstances of the next engagement. You'll never just be thrown at each other "in the ring" to discover who's quickest with a rocket. The idea here is to play the strengths of each class and each player, even if duelling, by providing OPTIONS. There are multiple exits from the landing zone, and multiple dividers immediately after that to obscure your movement decisions. This would be an excellent map for "quads" or structured games, too - you could even take turns in a 3-on-1 match-up just by controlling who goes inside the pyramid... those not fighting can just stand outside until the previous fellow dies, then hop in.

Give it a try!

''''Recently unearthed from the snow and ice in Antarctica your team has uncovered what appears to be an impossibility - a South-American style pyramid! Who built it? Why is it here? Before you can find out, you learn that a second team, hot on your heels, has uncovered a second strange pyramid nearby. The race is on to discover the secrets - but what's inside? What are you willing to do to claim this discovery for your side? Will you fight for it? Will you fight to the DEATH for it?''''

Two opposing bases have been constructed around several large planetoids, their gravitational energy harnessed to power an array of transporter pads in the central core. Use them to beam yourself directly into the enemy base, but be careful, teleporters only work for the home team - you can't use them to get home! Each side also has two pads that can be used to move quickly to your upper level where a giant canon waits to launch you clear across the map. Defend your canon - because it is the only way back to the enemy base for invaders keen on taking your flag home, unless they want to ride the perilously slow floating conveyor pads that run between the two bases' lower decks.
Beware of orbiting asteroids.
Inspired by QuakeLive's bouncy space adventure, this map tries to claim some of that airborne madness for Team Fortress. Every class except Scout and Spy are available to you to wreak havoc with, and God help you if they go Sniper.

Goes good with [http://megateamfortress.com/files/wiki/skyboxes/skyboxpack_1.zip "Xenzone" Skybox], but it's almost too busy. Standard starfield sky included.

'''From the Author:'''

Built on the idea that less is more, DoubleCTF centers on bringing an old idea back to Capture The Flag, which is that you cannot capture the enemy flag unless your own flag is home (returned).

The capture pad sits on the floor just below your flag's home rest, and if your flag isn't sitting pretty, you'd better get it back if you want to score with their flag! In this map, you literally will have to chase down the player who stole you flag, kill them, and carry your OWN flag back home - dropping it on ITS home pad - before you can touch the capture pad and drop the enemy flag off for 10 points. The key to winning on this map is getting your team to work together so that you don't have to do all that yourself.

Changing roles, moving from attack to defend, holding onto the enemy flag as your team retrieves your own flag... that's what this map is all about.

Multiple routes and multiple elevations for attack and escape provide ample room to move... and be careful - don't fall off!

And, just because I can't be completely boring about everything - this map includes a new set of CTF flags and sounds with an animal theme.

Built with [http://megateamfortress.com/files/wiki/skyboxes/skyboxpack_1.zip "Cityn3" Skybox], in mind. Try it out!

CYBERBALL: Suit up or shut up.
||
'''Player Synopsis:''' A fast-paced, close-quarters MegaTF interpretation of the game CyberBall.
<br /><br />
'''Player Review:'''
|}

==BASIS==

==GAMEPLAY==

COOL -> WARM -> HOT -> CRITICAL

==MOVEMENT==

==IMPORTANT NOTE==
At the time of this map's release, EZQuake does not yet recognize the scoring system this map uses! Included is a FRAGFILE.DAT that should go into your fortress/ directory. This will ensure EZQuake properly shows not just FRAGS/KILLS/DEATHS but ALSO your TOUCHES and CAPTURES. It isn't required, but it is nice.

==THANKS==
Thanks as always to id, for Quake, The TFS crew, for Team Fortress, Ambush, for MegaTF, and DyerMaker for everything you contributed to MegaTF! All the Clan Moose crew who I will never forget!

Bathrooms.
==Pandemonium Abbey==
Situated somewhere beyond the realms of reality there exists a place that guards both the doom and the salvation of men. The duality of life and death, that delicate harmony, is what enables four sleeping evils to be entombed here. Two churches. Two crypts in each. Four unspeakable horrors.

Enter: man.

Greedy for the glory and the promise of eternal life, this hallowed ground has now become an abattoir. For just as evil dwells here, so does a beacon of light and life: the chalice. The cup of Christ. And he who possesses it will be granted eternal life.

The balance has been disturbed.

'''''"And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see." Revelation 6:1.'''''

===Gameplay===
This map is not a traditional CTF scenario, instead it is a variant of Keep Away. You must locate the Holy Grail, and beware of the false grails. While you hold the chalice, you will be granted everlasting life; and while you stand with it upon your altar, your team will be rewarded.

Each team guards two crypts, enshrined in each is one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. War. Conquest. Famine. Death. Protect them, or release them, the choice is up to you... but be careful what you awaken here.
==Pandemonium Abbey==
==Pandemonium Abbey==

===Gameplay===
